Bring your own AI
Updated October 2026
Build your fantasy league with AI. Your AI, your league.
You can use your own AI, whether that is ChatGPT or Claude, to design a fantasy league: sketch the format, write the scoring and test the rules. When it is ready, send us the idea. To play, run it on Windom Sports in one of the games we already run, then connect ChatGPT or Claude to check in from chat. You decide what stays.
How do I build a fantasy league with AI?
Four steps. Each one has a prompt you can copy into ChatGPT, Claude or any chat AI.
Step 1
Sketch the format with your AI
Tell your AI what you want to follow and who is playing, then ask for a simple format: how people pick, how picks earn points, and when it starts and ends. If you can explain it in one minute, your group will actually play it.
Copy this prompt I want to run a fantasy league for my friends around [your sport or event]. Suggest a simple format: how everyone picks, how a pick earns points, and when it starts and ends. Keep the rules short enough to read in a minute.
Step 2
Write the scoring
Ask for scoring built on real results you already root for, like a win or a deep run. Skip stat lines nobody cheers for. Short beats clever: a few lines of whole numbers that anyone can check against the scoreboard.
Copy this prompt Write the scoring for this league in five lines or fewer. Points come from real results, like winning a game or finishing high. Use whole numbers, no obscure stats, and show one worked example.
Step 3
Test the rules
Paste the rules back in and ask your AI to find the holes. Where would two friends disagree? What happens when a game is postponed or someone misses a deadline? Fix what it finds before anyone joins.
Copy this prompt Here are my league rules: [paste them]. Find anything confusing, any rule where two reasonable friends could disagree, and any way someone could be left with nothing to root for. Suggest a fix for each.
Step 4
Send us the idea
Open the ideas page and tap Tell us your idea. The form asks what sport, league or event it covers (the only answer you have to give), then how you would play it and what makes it fun (both optional), and an email if you want us to follow up. We can't promise every idea gets built, or when, so check the next section first: your league may already fit a game we run.
Copy this prompt Boil my league idea down to three short answers: what sport, league or event it covers, how people would play it, and what makes it fun to root for.
Can Windom Sports run the league I design with AI?
Check whether your league already fits a game we run. Pick the sport on Explore, then pick a game. There are three, and each sport offers the ones that fit it.
Live Draft
Everyone drafts together, live, and each team belongs to one person. How many people can play depends on the sport.
How a snake draft worksSalary Cap
Everyone gets the same budget and builds a roster on their own time. No draft night, and any group size.
Salary cap fantasy, explainedTiers
Start a private Tiers league for your group on the sports that offer it. No draft: everyone picks a set number from each tier on their own time, in any group size.
A format only your group invented may not fit one of these, and that is what the idea form is for. To run a league in a game that fits, the how-to guide walks through it.
Can you play your league from ChatGPT or Claude?
ChatGPT and Claude work with Windom Sports today. Muse (by Meta) is coming soon. Here is what that means once your league is running.
Works today
ChatGPT
Connect it once, then ask about your leagues and make picks in select leagues. Needs a paid ChatGPT plan for now.

Claude
Connect it once, then ask about your leagues and make picks in select leagues. Works on free Claude.
Coming soon
Muse (by Meta)
Windom Sports does not work in Muse yet. Leave your email and we will send one note when it is ready.
Do the one-time setup on a computer. It takes about a minute.
What chat can do today
- Ask about your leagues: standings, how your teams scored, how scoring works, and which leagues you can join.
- Join a league with an invite code, or a public league by its exact name.
- In select leagues, make and swap picks by asking, with the same rules and deadlines as the site.
What stays on the site
- Starting a league happens on Windom Sports, not in chat.
- In a league where you draft teams, the draft itself happens on Windom Sports.
- Sending us your idea happens on the ideas page.
How do you get good answers from AI when designing a league?
- Ask it to show its reasons. A rule with no reason is just a guess. If you can't follow the why, ask again.
- Check the facts yourself. Your AI can be wrong or out of date about real schedules, rosters and rules. Look up anything real before you share the league.
- Design for bragging rights. Windom Sports is free to play and has no prizes, so a league that depends on money won't fit here. Make it about your people and the scoreboard.
- Root for what matters. Every point should come from a result fans already care about, like a win, not an obscure stat.
- Keep the final call. Your AI suggests. You decide, and you can overrule it any time.

Why Windom Sports
- You draft what can win. Whole teams in team sports. The golfer, the player or the driver in golf, tennis and racing. Never a stat line.
- Root for the scoreboard. When your teams win, you score. That is the thing you were already cheering for.
- A format built for each sport. Each sport gets a game that fits how it is actually played.
- Free for everyone. That includes whoever runs the league. It is a game for bragging rights.
- Built for right now. Draft once and just read the email updates, or connect ChatGPT or Claude and make picks from there in select leagues. See the connectors
Building a fantasy league with AI: your questions, answered
Can ChatGPT or Claude build a fantasy league for me?
They can help you design one. Describe the sport or event and who is playing, then ask for a format, scoring and rules you can read in a minute. Test the rules, keep what works, and check any real-world facts yourself. When it is ready, you can send us the idea.
How do I send my league idea to Windom Sports?
Open the ideas page and tap Tell us your idea. The form asks what sport, league or event it covers (the only required answer), how you would play it and what makes it fun (both optional), and an email if you want us to follow up (also optional). We can't promise every idea gets built, or when.
Can ChatGPT or Claude start my league?
No. Starting a league happens on Windom Sports. Once ChatGPT or Claude is connected, it can check on your leagues and join one with an invite code, and in select leagues it can make picks. The draft itself happens on Windom Sports.

Which AI works with Windom Sports?
ChatGPT and Claude work with Windom Sports today. Works on free Claude, and adding Windom Sports in ChatGPT needs a paid ChatGPT plan for now. Muse (by Meta) is coming soon, and its page lets you ask for one email when it is ready. To design a league, use whichever AI you already have.
Is it free?
Windom Sports is free to play and free to host, with no prizes. Your AI is separate: Claude works on free Claude, and adding Windom Sports in ChatGPT needs a paid ChatGPT plan for now.
