NHL playoff fantasy league: draft whole teams.
NHL playoff fantasy on Windom Sports means you draft whole NHL teams and score when they win. Playoff wins are worth more as the rounds advance, so you are rooting for deep runs.
A playoff league is planned for the spring. It is not open yet.
What is NHL playoff fantasy?
It is fantasy built around the Stanley Cup Playoffs. You draft real NHL teams instead of individual players, and each team scores when it wins. Here is the whole idea.
What you pick
Whole NHL teams. You root for the teams that keep winning.
How you score
Wins earn points. Playoff wins are worth more as the rounds advance.
What you manage
No nightly lineups, waivers, or trades. Pick your teams and follow along.
Is there an NHL playoff fantasy league right now?
Not yet. Here is where things stand, so you are not left guessing.
- NHL playoff league: planned for the spring, with no open date yet. We will not name one until we have it.
- NHL season leagues: closed for 2026-27, because the season is already underway.
- What to do now: check the NHL fantasy hockey page for the latest, or see what is open across every sport on Explore.
How will an NHL playoff league work?
This is the plan, not a finished product, so details may change before it opens.
Draft whole teams
Once the playoff field is set, you pick from the NHL teams that made it.
Score while they win
Your teams score for as long as they keep winning, so a deep run is the whole point.
Follow along
Scores and standings update on their own as games go final. There is nothing to set between games.
Can you play NBA and NHL playoff fantasy in one league?
Hockey and basketball playoffs overlap, so we also want to run one league across both: NHL and NBA playoff teams in a single draft.
