Can I move my league from a Google Doc or spreadsheet?

You set your league up here and invite your friends. That is the whole move. There is no import for spreadsheets, old standings or past seasons, so a league on Windom Sports starts fresh. What comes with you is your group, your league’s name and, if it is here, your game.

What does Windom Sports do for my league?

The scoreboard work, so you can get back to watching the games.

Scores. They update on their own as games go final.
Standings. They update with every score, so there is no spreadsheet to keep.
The draft. In a Live Draft, the clock keeps picks moving. If someone misses a pick, the draft makes it for them. By default, reminder emails go out 24 hours, 1 hour and 15 minutes before a scheduled draft.
Recap emails. Right now, NFL, college football, NBA, college basketball, Premier League and Serie A season leagues get a weekly recap email. Some sports don't have recap emails yet.

Your group chat stays yours. We just give it a scoreboard.

A draft league

Live Draft

You and your group take turns picking, live, and each pick belongs to one person. The order reverses every round, so nobody picks last twice. Group size depends on the sport.

Can I move my league from a spreadsheet?

Not by uploading it. There is no import for spreadsheets, old standings or past seasons, so a league here starts fresh. You set the league up, send your friends one invite link, and from there scores and standings update on their own. If your game is a draft league or a budget league, there is a game for it, and Explore shows which sports are open right now.

Is it free for the commissioner?

Yes. Windom Sports is free to play and free to host, so whoever runs the league pays nothing, and neither does anyone they invite. There are no prizes.

What if my format isn't here?

Tell us how it works on the ideas page. We read every idea. We can't promise what gets built or when, but we build games where you root for real wins, so ideas that start there fit best.

Do my friends need an app?

No. Friends can join from the invite link in a browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. There is also an iPhone app if your group prefers one.

Can I keep my league name?

Yes. You type your league's name when you create it, anywhere from 3 to 50 characters, so the name your group already uses can stay. Names with strong profanity or slurs aren't allowed.

How many friends can join my league?

It depends on the game. A Live Draft is sized to the sport: 2 to 7 people in the NBA, 2 to 8 in the NFL, 2 to 8 in the NHL and 2 to 12 in college football. Salary Cap and Tiers leagues have room for up to 1,000 people.

Will my league get recap emails?
